Post13-Male turtle birthday card

Hello everyone,
I made this card for a wonderful family friend of ours. I so sorry i used Create a critter cartridge again i will move on to others but i cant seem to put this one down, its just so versatile and i cant help but use it. I'm apologising for the many more card and projects that will be made with this cart i know you all probably getting sick of it but i still love it.

I cut this turtle out at 3" from p64 and i also cut the grass from the same page at 1.25". I had a studio G stamp that was really appropriate to use so also made a matching envelope with this one. I used black ink to stitch around the C6 card and turtle shell. 3 strips of paper make the background to solid colours and one patterned piece all taken from my scraps. Leave me a comment i love reading them

Post11-Amanda's birthday card 2011

Hello everyone,
Here is a lovely card i made for my untie Amanda.

I used my favourite cart at the moment (create a critter) P.38 and cut it at 3". I did cut the bed at 3" at first but then decided it was way to big and cut it at 2 1/2" instead. i used a standard A2 cream card and a variety of papers. I stamped 'B-day' around the cats bed in black ink as I don't have a good brown right now. i used a assortment of buttons to embellish and glossy accents for the nose to make it look wet.

Post10- Nicolas birthday card 2011

Hello everyone,
My cousin is going to be 14 years old and i find teenage boys so hard to do card for. this one was inspired by a program he is really into at the moment.

I made this card with alot of different cricut carts. I used Rock Princess(RP), Don Juan(DJ) and Create A Critter cartridges(CAC). the MP3 player is from RP and cut at 2 3/4" I should of really cut it a little bigger but owell, also the music notes and from this cart and a few from my stash. the cloud and bird are from CAC and cut at 2 3/4 and 1 1/4. The letters are from DJ and cut at 1/2". i used matching patterned paper for the background and a large strip of blue to make it all stand out. hope you like it and if you have any ideas for a teen boy card please let me know.

Post 9-Bethan's birthday card 2011

Hello everyone,
Here is a 3year old birthday card i made for a very sweet little girl in our family.

I used a 5" square card and a whole array of bright colours. I cut the giraffe at 3 1/2" using birthday bash cart. i also cut the scalloped circle at 2" and the tag at 4" from the same cart. I black stitched on every layer and the happy birthday is a rub on i used. i sparkled it with star dust Stickels and added a small bit of ribbon to the top of the tag. A very bright and cute girl card.

Post 8-Uncle's thankyou card

Hello everyone,
Here is the card i made for my loving uncle who gave us a surround sound system. it was very nice of them to do this and we weren't expecting it at all. a true shock. My partner Steve is loving it and we are both just so greatful i wanted to make a card i know they will like. So we both thought going a little old school would be perfect.

I used silver mirror card for the base and cut it to make the card a 6 1/2" by 4 1/2"  a unusual size but worked really well. i used a mat layer of white and a matching piece of patterned paper. I stitched in silver all around the white backing mat. I cut the radio out at 3 3/4" using the rock princess cart. I then had to "pimp it up" with a little bit of bling lol (gem stones) Awesome card i know they will love it.

Post 7- Its a boy bag card

Hello everyone,
I have a new arrival in the family. He is a little boy called Daniel. I was speaking to my partner Steve and we decided on what the card should look like. I really wanted to do a baby bag but we spent a while picking what should stick out of it. where ever i can i like to get Steve involved so he knows whats going on.

I used a white A2 card base and corner rounded all the edges on every layer. I stamped its a boy in a shimmer blue then i went around it with a darker blue gel pen. I cut the bag out of Doodle charms at 4" the teddy at 2 1/2" and the bottle at 1 1/2". Stuck at the layers down and had the teddy and bottle poking out of the bag. The next step is to thread some blue string though the buttons and stick down. simple but really lovely.

Post 6-My Nans birthday card 2011

Hello everyone,
It was my loving Nans birthday on Friday and I made here a card.A2 size card. She means so much to me and i really wanted to take the time to make her something special so although this took me ages i think it turned out really pretty.

I used all different bits of my scrap papers to make these flowers and cut them with the "create a critter" cart. I then hand embossed each one and layered them and topped it with a little gem. the whole card is purple/lilac and a few bits of pink here and there.
The gorges stamp is from Joanna sheen Enchanted Forest Funtime set witch was designed by my very talented auntie Sandra Dry. I love this set its so cute and stamps so clear its definitely a must have item if you enjoy stamping. I cut the little fairy's wings off as i like the idea of a little girl in a sitting among a bed of flowers. I used ribbon in a matching lilac and hand wrote Happy Birthday Abuela (Abuela means grandma in Spanish)

I really love this card and look forward to see what you think just leave a comment.
